Job summary

The Hershey Company in Edgerton, KS is seeking an Assoc Mgr Project Engineer to lead engineering project and program management initiatives that keep our plants safe, reliable, and efficient. This role requires applying established methods to moderately complex challenges and coordinating with engineering, operations, maintenance, and business partners.

The successful candidate will support the Kansas Hub and travel between Lawrence, Lenexa, and Edgerton as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering, project management, program management, manufacturing, or related technical experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, analyze data, evaluate options, and support testing and validation.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned engineering project or program management tasks using established procedures and Hershey standards.
• Evaluate options and use system knowledge and data to recommend practical solutions to straightforward and moderately complex engineering or delivery issues.
• Partner with engineering, operations, maintenance, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to align requirements, constraints, testing, validation and troubleshooting activities.
• Identify project dependencies, risks and issues; elevate concerns, support corrective actions, and track follow-ups through resolution.
• Support capital project activities such as feasibility assessments, cost estimates, equipment selection, installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and training coordination.
• Maintain clear project records and engineering documentation while supporting safety, quality, governance, traceability and process improvement.
