Job summary

TruGrid is a leading EPC contractor delivering BESS and solar projects across North America. The Project Engineering Manager will lead design and project execution from 10 MW to 400 MW, reporting to the Director of Engineering Project Management.

You will drive engineering scope, schedule, and budget on flagship projects, interfacing with owners, OEMs, utilities, and AHJs. The role requires a strong background in utility‑scale EPC, team leadership, and proficiency with Primavera P6, AutoCAD,

Qualifications

ABET-accredited degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years progressive engineering and/or engineering PM experience in power generation, substations, or EPC.
Minimum 4+ years in utility-scale BESS and/or solar PV projects (10–400 MW).

Responsibilities

Own engineering scope, schedule, budget, and quality across 10–400 MW projects from award to IFC.
Direct third‑party design firms and lead milestone design reviews.
Review and approve engineering design packages across disciplines.
Serve as primary technical contact with Owner, Owner's Engineer, and utilities.
Develop and execute the engineering execution plan.
Monitor progress against schedule and budget; take corrective action as needed.
Lead design change management, RFIs, submittals, NCRs, and as‑builts.
Mentor and develop a team of Project Engineers; uphold safety‑first culture.
