Job summary

Pacer Group in Houston, TX is seeking a Project Engineer to support the design, engineering, and delivery of modular data center infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of mechanical or electrical engineering experience, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or data center environments. This is a hands-on role focusing on mechanical systems, piping, technical design, client interaction, and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of mechanical engineering and design experience.
• Experience with mechanical and piping systems, and construction/commissioning projects.
• Knowledge of engineering codes, standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of data center projects under the Engineering Manager.
• Coordinate with Sales, PM, Supply Chain, Manufacturing for delivery.
• Review drawings, specs, and technical documents for compliance.
• Develop scopes of work, execution plans, and project schedules.
• Support onboarding of new engineers as needed.
• Engage in design reviews, site visits, and commissioning activities.
