Job summary

TAS Energy, a Houston-based leader in modular data center solutions, seeks a Sr. Electrical Engineer to design/optimize electrical scope within modular components and systems.

You will collaborate with engineering, project management, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of modular solutions into manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include creating 1-line diagrams, BOMs, and 3D CAD outputs; mentoring on electrical best practices and ensuring NEC/IEC compliance while

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in power distribution, modular construction, data centers, or building systems design.
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical systems including switchgear, panel boards, motor starters, VFDs, ATS, UPS, and cabling/fittings.
• Ability to work on production floor locations and climb ladders; strong documentation and technical writing.
• Experience with NEC, IEC, NFPA code analysis and compliance.
• Ability to perform electrical calculations such as fault analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modular components and systems for manufacturing processes, focusing on functionality, efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.
• Act as Electrical SME on data center/modular skid design projects to ensure technical excellence.
• Design of the whole electrical system: one-line diagrams, schematics, and BOMs for electrical systems.
• Provide technical support to production during manufacturing, assembly, and installation; resolve design issues.
• Interface with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Mechanical/Controls Engineers, Procurement, and Service Engineers/Technicians.
