Job summary

The engineer will oversee drawings, submittals, changes, and close-out records while maintaining schedule compliance and cost control. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus four years related experience.
• Proficiency with BIM and LEAN practices.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, schedules.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Architects, Subcontractors, Consultants, Suppliers, Inspectors and Owner's Representatives to resolve plan/spec issues.
• Oversee contract drawings and subcontract information; ensure alignment with the estimate.
• Manage the project budget and control costs.
• Oversee submittals and shop drawings; resolve interpretation conflicts.
• Negotiate Change Orders; manage changes and obtain approvals from Architect/Owner.
• Oversee close-out process; prepare RFI's, warranties, O&M manuals, and as-built records.
• Supervise Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks, and Interns; contribute to performance reviews.
• Prepare Scope of Work documents for trades.
• Develop reports on General Conditions, labor, safety, Change Orders; monitor quality.
• Schedule and lead subcontractor coordination, preconstruction and submittal review meetings.
