Job summary

Carrier Johnson + Culture (CJ+C) seeks a Project Architect to lead the technical development and coordination of multifamily residential and mixed‑use projects. You will translate design intent into constructible solutions while guiding teams through design development and construction documentation.

You are an 8+ year licensed architect with deep knowledge of Type I‑A, Type III, and Type V construction, including podium, wrap, urban infill, and mixed‑use building typologies.

Qualifications

• Registered/Licensed Architect; California licensure strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of professional architectural experience delivering multifamily residential and mixed-use projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Type I-A, Type III, and Type V construction, podium configurations, and mixed-use developments.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, with experience developing and coordinating comprehensive construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day architectural development and technical coordination for multifamily residential and mixed-use projects across all phases.
• Develop and coordinate high-quality construction documents aligned with design intent.
• Coordinate work with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, interiors, life-safety, and consultants.
• Coordinate permitting and respond to plan-check comments in collaboration with project leadership.
• Participate in construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, field observations, punch lists, and issue resolution.
