Carrier Johnson + Culture (CJ+C) seeks a Senior Project Architect to lead technical development across complex projects, translating design intent into buildable solutions while guiding teams through all phases of project execution.

With 12+ years of licensure and a background in higher education and civic work in Southern California, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholders, and ensure quality construction documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed architect with active California licensure.
• 12+ years of professional experience in higher education and civic projects.
• Experience with California Building Code and DSA approvals.
• Advanced Revit skills for producing and coordinating construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical development and coordination across all project phases.
• Develop and oversee construction documents with clear, coordinated details.
• Coordinate internal teams and external consultants on MEP and structures.
• Guide projects through permitting and regulatory processes including DSA.
• Align technical solutions with project goals, budgets, and schedules.
• Oversee construction administration and site coordination.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Design Leaders to maintain design intent.
• Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing.
