Job summary

Ghafari Associates, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Architect to lead the design development and production of construction documents for large, complex projects. The role requires coordinating multidisciplinary teams, maintaining strict quality control, and guiding in-house contract administration.

Responsibilities include planning work, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring alignment with budget and schedule while coordinating stakeholders and field representation as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• NCARB certification is required.
• LEED and WELL certifications are preferred.
• Registered Architect status required or imminent.
• 25+ years related architecture experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production of schematic, design development and construction documents for large, complex projects.
• Mentor staff and manage design teams to ensure technical quality and on-time delivery.
• Establish design parameters, evaluate systems options, and assist in presenting design documents.
• Develop work plans, supervise daily activities, and ensure QC across the architectural scope.
• Assist Project Manager with schedule and budget, and assess scope changes and impacts.
• Coordinate disciplines, document coordination, and field representation as required.
