Job summary

Ghafari Associates, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Architect to lead design development and construction documentation on large, complex projects. You will supervise the architecture team, coordinate with engineering and interiors disciplines, and take in-house construction administration duties.

The role supports hybrid and in-office work environments, with opportunities to mentor staff and advance licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering; Master’s preferred
• NCARB certificate required
• Registered Architect status required
• LEED and WELL certifications preferred
• 25+ years of related architecture experience

Responsibilities

• Manage large, highly complex projects and teams
• Mentor less experienced staff throughout projects
• Establish design parameters: code, site restrictions, budget, schedule
• Lead development and execution of project work plans and tasks
• Oversee coordination of disciplines and quality control for construction documents
• Assist PM with schedule, budget, scope changes and resource forecasting
• Coordinate multi-discipline teams and ensure timely information exchange
• Produce schematic, design development and construction drawings and specs
• Respond to RFIs and review shop drawings; provide field representation when needed
• Maintain and improve office architectural standards, tools, and Revit setup
