Everforth Apex Systems in Des Moines, IA seeks a licensed Project Architect / Design Manager to lead the design process, coordinate disciplines, and ensure scheduling, budget, and quality standards across complex projects.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in Architecture or Construction Management, registered or in licensing, 4–8 years postgrad, and 3+ years in project management, with experience in multi-family, healthcare, or senior living settings.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Architecture or Construction Management.
• Registered Architect or in licensing process.
• 4–8 years postgraduate experience; multi-family/healthcare/hospitality preferred.
• 3+ years project management experience.
• Experience with senior living environments (CCRC/Assisted Living) is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct the design process and coordinate all design disciplines to meet project standards.
• Administer design agreements and related services.
• Ensure designs comply with project requirements and codes.
• Assist with selection and management of consultants and billing.
• Negotiate and execute architectural and consultant agreements.
• Maintain knowledge of materials, finishes, and building systems to support cost-effective design decisions.
• Partner with contractors to optimize material use and systems throughout design.
