Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Project Architect to drive architectural development for Mission Critical/Data Center projects in California, including Sacramento and San Diego. You will lead technical coordination, documentation, and team development from concept through construction.

The role requires advanced Revit skills, licensure, and proven leadership in complex projects. You will mentor staff, coordinate with engineers, and contribute to client presentations while ensuring design

Qualifications

• Advanced Revit proficiency and cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Licensed Architect with NAAB degree and NCARB preferred.
• Experience on Mission Critical/Data Center projects.

Responsibilities

• Translate concepts into technical documentation using Revit and visualization tools.
• Develop technically sound design solutions aligned with project goals and client needs.
• Support site planning, entitlements, and approvals with civil and consultant teams.
• Prepare and manage construction documents from schematic design through construction administration.
• Coordinate architectural and engineering documentation, including QA/QC and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Assist with project schedules, staffing plans, and fee tracking.
• Mentor team members and promote collaboration and growth.
• Conduct code analyses, material evaluations, and research.
• Support bidding and construction administration activities (RFIs, submittals, field observations).
• Stay current on codes, sustainable design practices, and construction methods.
• Communicate technical solutions through presentations and stakeholder coordination.
• Support business development through client interaction and marketing.
• Maintain technical quality and constructability across all phases.
