Job summary

A&E + SMA Design is seeking a Residential Project Architect to join our Montana offices. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in Architecture, at least two years of experience in high-end residential design, and proficiency with Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and Lumion.

Licensure is preferred but not required, with focus on collaborative, design‑driven work. You will lead design deliverables from concept to construction, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, ensure code compliance, and help

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Architecture.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
• Emphasis or specialty in high‑end residential design.
• Architectural licensure preferred, but not necessary.
• Proficiency in Revit is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of high‑end residential projects from concept sketches to construction.
• Translate client vision into innovative, functional, and beautiful design solutions.
• Oversee communication with internal teams, consultants, and contractors.
• Research and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Manage and produce presentation materials for client meetings.
• Document meeting minutes and track budgets, schedules, and workflow.
• Develop and manage project schedules to meet milestones on time.
• Attend job site meetings and respond to RFIs during Construction Administration.
• Use Revit and rendering tools to produce accurate drawings and visuals.
