Job summary

BCA is seeking a Project Architect to provide technical leadership from pre-design through construction closeout, coordinating building design, code compliance, and document quality. You will guide design decisions and oversee BIM models, supporting project delivery with the PM and team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture required.
Active board licensure required.
Minimum of 5 to 15+ years of architectural experience.
Experience with public-sector projects (K-12, higher education, municipal) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and own the architectural design of each project, from concept through construction documents.
Establish program requirements and develop conceptual designs with PM and client.
Serve as lead technical authority on projects and coordinate design decisions with teams.
Formulate code compliance strategy and interpret codes throughout the project lifecycle.
Direct material and system selection and oversee project specifications.
Implement High Performance Design (LEED, CHPS, etc.) when required.
