Job summary

Neilsoft Limited is seeking a BIM Coordinator in Michigan who will manage the exchange and coordination of BIM data among multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will lead BIM implementation, conduct clash detection, and ensure compliance with local codes.

Applicants should have a Diploma or Degree in Architecture/Engineering and at least 3 years of BIM management experience in large scale projects. Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Job description

• Manage the exchange, collaboration, and coordination of BIM data with consultants, contractors, other stakeholders, and the internal team.
• Lead in BIM implementation, Standards, Modelling workflow & methodologies during project design, construction, and handover.
• Conduct clash detection between electrical/mechanical systems and building components and resolve issues using tools like Navisworks or similar software.
• Actively promote advanced and innovative BIM-based methodologies towards integrated practice,
• Prepare, execute, and maintain BIM strategies and plans.
• Support and provide a review of BIM Project Models, workflows, and methodologies to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Must be aware of Local US and Canadian codes & standards such as NFPA, Ontario / BC Building Code, ASHRAE etc.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with an A1 contractor in North America.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum a Diploma or Degree in Architecture / Engineering with at least 3 years of working experience in construction, design, drafting, or coordination, as per local codes and standards.
• With at least 3 years of BIM coordination/management experience in the relevant industry for large scale projects
• Self-motivated, able to assume responsibility, and able to handle pressure.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
