Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking a Manager, Project Accounting to lead a team focused on reporting revenue, profit, forecasting, cash flow and risk for multiple projects. You will prepare project-level financial reports, analyze data at the business-unit level, and drive improvements in systems and processes while enforcing company policies.

You will serve as the audit liaison, communicate risks to senior leadership, and mentor junior staff. A strong GAAP background and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with strong accounting experience preferred.
• Five to eight years accounting experience.
• Experience with JD Edwards or other ERP solution including analytical tools (BI).
• Knowledge of GAAP, budgeting and cost control principles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept to implementation.
• Strong verbal and written communication, including public speaking.
• Ability to lead and mentor team members; influence change and morale.
• Ability to establish productive working relationships; teamwork.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for business unit financials, reporting revenue and profit, forecasting, cash flow and risk.
• Prepare, distribute and maintain project-related financial reports.
• Compile, analyze and report data at the business unit level.
• continually assess and improve systems and processes related to project accounting.
• Communicate and enforce Project Accounting and Company Policies and Procedures.
• Serve as lead POC for internal audits and assist auditors as required.
• Identify risks and communicate them to leadership.
• Manage workload and capacity to optimize staff utilization and staffing decisions.
• Train and support Accounting Associate & Senior Associate staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
