Qualifications

• Reads Blueprints, prints, and GD&T with accuracy.
• Proficient with CNC programs and control panels.
• Knowledge of metal stamping, progressive dies, and repair skills.
• Strong math for feeds, speeds, geometry.
• Able to interpret tolerances and perform precise measurements.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings/blueprints; suggest design improvements when appropriate.
• Machine close-tolerance metal components; construct fixtures; fabricate prototypes.
• Receive, inspect, disassemble, clean, and repair dies; apply corrective actions.
• Plan machining sequences; set up and operate grinders, mills, lathes, and hand tools.
• Verify specifications using micrometers, calipers, and gauges; maintain records.
• Move tooling using die lifters, lift trucks, and cranes; follow safety methods.
• Troubleshoot lines and tooling; perform operator maintenance; lubricate machinery.
• Maintain repair/quality records; escalate issues to protect quality and throughput.
• Train and mentor others in machining techniques; propose process improvements.
