Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Progressive Die Press Set-Up Technician (Lead) to deliver safe, repeatable changeovers on large stamping presses and mentor junior operators. You will drive setup efficiency, improve first-pass yield, and advance safety, quality, and throughput on the shop floor.

The role requires expert knowledge of press setups and tooling, reading complex prints, and a strong quality mindset.

Qualifications

• Read complex prints and hold tight tolerances.
• Expert knowledge of large stamping presses and tooling.
• Detail-oriented with strong inspection mindset.
• Independent problem solver for press/tooling challenges.
• Strong communication across production, maintenance, and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, routings, and instructions.
• Perform expert setups and operation of large presses for high-quality stamped parts.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis on die/press issues; coordinate with toolroom and maintenance for corrective action.
• Mentor Level I and II Set-Up Operators; capture and refine work instructions.
• Enter all production and quality data into the company’s data collection system.
• Follow safety procedures and compliance guidelines; perform other duties as assigned.
