Job summary

Bentley University seeks an Assistant Director of Programs and Student Leadership to work with the Director in identifying opportunities and supporting the development of Bentley Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Center (BSLCE) student leaders.

The role administers service-learning programs, helps design marketing for events, recruits and trains student leaders and community partners, and leads professional development trainings for 150+ Program Managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of professional experience working with community agencies and student populations.
• Detail-oriented, excellent communication skills, and ability to design training sessions for students involved in service-learning and civic projects.
• Strong public presentation skills and ability to engage multiple constituencies on- and off-campus.
• Familiarity with program assessment tools and applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer service-learning programs and manage student leaders and workers.
• Coordinate recruitment, training, and evaluation of student leaders and partners.
• Develop and deliver professional development trainings for 150+ student Program Managers.
• Represent BSLCE at conferences, workshops, and trainings as needed.
• Supervise 70+ student workers and oversee performance and disciplinary actions when required.
• Coordinate partner relations and scholarship oversight for civic leadership projects.
