Job summary

Woodward Community Based Services in Urbandale, IA is seeking a Program Manager to lead the Adult Habilitation (HAB) program. You will oversee HAB homes and support Team Leads and Direct Support Professionals to deliver consistent, person-centered services.

You’ll supervise staff, coordinate scheduling, monitor documentation and incident reports, and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements while promoting accountability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to supervise staff.
• Clear, professional communication with families, guardians, and colleagues.
• Excellent organization and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supervising direct support professionals and team leads.
• Ability to travel locally between HAB homes, office, and community sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day HAB home operations and maintain safe, structured services.
• Supervise, coach, and support Team Leads; address performance concerns.
• Assist with staffing and scheduling; cover call-ins and changing needs.
• Monitor service notes, incident reports, and program documentation.
• Review incidents and ensure proper follow-up actions.
• Support implementation of individual service plans with clinical staff.
• Communicate effectively with members, guardians, families, and case managers.
• Identify and address staffing, documentation, and service delivery concerns.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and person-centered care.
• Ensure operations comply with company policies and state/federal requirements.
