Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Production Systems Engineer in Northridge, CA, to support the AARGM Production program with the Advanced Weapons team. The role requires a BS in engineering and 5+ years in systems engineering, with DoD Secret clearance and on-site work.

You will work closely with the IPT Lead, provide systems engineering support, develop requirements and test plans, and perform data analyses to support production cadence and program reviews.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering and 5+ years of systems engineering or related engineering experience.
• Experience with systems engineering tools.
• Experience in root cause correction action process and execution.
• Ability to communicate with peers in a methodical, detailed and process-oriented fashion.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering support as part of a trouble shooting team with systems matter expertise on other areas (sensor/radar, software, mechanical, electrical).
• Develop/update requirements, test plans, and test procedures for Production Engineering projects.
• Perform data mining for failure database and ATP data variability analysis.
• Support Failure Trend Analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations on RF/electronics sensor systems.
• Generate and present data analysis results in vu-graphs for internal and external meetings.
• Interface with team members, supervisor, project leads, and external customers to communicate program status.
• Support Systems Engineering metrics and technical performance measurement tracking.
• Assist in preparing system engineering materials for various program reviews and CAM/EVM activities.
• Partner with Global Supply Chain to manage components from subcontractors.
