Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures, a proud subsidiary of Arcosa, Inc., is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Gadsden, AL plant. The supervisor will oversee multiple activities, own the output of the team, and maintain a strong working knowledge of machinery, equipment and processes, while aiming for safety, quality and productivity at all times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
• 5+ years leadership in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Experience in metal fabrication or welding, flux and metal core welding preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of blueprints and layouts related to transmission poles.
• Strong dependability, maturity and leadership in prior roles.
• Regular attendance and teamwork toward common goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations for heavy industrial products.
• Set production schedules based on output, equipment efficiency and quality metrics.
• Coach employees on fit-up and welding quality; address issues.
• Ensure production targets meet budgeted costs and output.
• Support continuous improvement to optimize material flow.
• Manage hourly workers, verify time sheets and logs.
• Assign tasks and ensure proper training.
• Manage fit-up and welding processes per policies.
