Job summary

You will lead safety and quality initiatives, schedule production, coach staff on fit-up and welding, and drive continuous improvement while delivering within budget. This role requires strong leadership and reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of leadership in heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Experience in metal fabrication or welding facilities, preferably flux and metal core welding.
• Thorough knowledge of blueprints and layouts related to transmission poles.
• High dependability, maturity, and strong leadership.
• Regular attendance and teamwork toward common goals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure employees follow safety procedures, serve on safety committees, and perform safety audits.
• Manage daily production operations for heavy industrial products.
• Set production schedules based on introduction, equipment efficiency, and quality metrics.
• Coach employees on fit-up and welding to meet goals and solve issues.
• Produce sufficient quantities of quality products within budgeted costs.
• Assist in continuous improvement to move materials through production processes.
• Manage hourly employees, approve time sheets and logs.
• Assign workers to stations and ensure proper training.
• Oversee fit-up and welding processes, ensuring adherence to policies.
