Job summary

Carlisle Company is seeking a self-motivated Production Supervisor to oversee 10–20 production employees and 1–3 lead operators. The role involves planning, coaching, and improving production methods while ensuring safety and quality. Occasional travel to other plants for training may be required.

The position demands experience in manufacturing, Lean and 5S, and strong communication skills. Working hours are 40 per week with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in wood products or related industry.
• Knowledge of safety procedures such as lock out, tag out.
• Identify possible quality defects and causes; know corrective actions.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S.
• Effective communication and writing skills.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Able to use measuring gauges such as tape measures.
• Strong problem-solving skills under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Direct, train and supervise daily production activities for 10–20 workers and 1–3 leads.
• Plan and assign work; review production schedules and labor as per budgets.
• Write performance reviews and maintain performance measurement reports.
• Enforce safety regulations and PPE usage; uphold company policies.
• Lead waste-reduction initiatives using COS, SQDC boards, and corrective actions.
• Conduct cycle counts and inventory accuracy checks.
• Fill in for operations management during vacations/absences; lead special projects.
• Maintain time and attendance records.

Education

Associate degree / 3–5 years related manufacturing experience

5+ years supervisory experience
