Job summary

Ferrara/KME, part of Terex Corporation, seeks a Production Supervisor to lead a direct labor team in the manufacture and assembly of custom fire and rescue vehicles. You will drive production schedules, control costs, and uphold quality standards with a focus on troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes safety, lean practices, and collaboration with Materials, Engineering, and Sales Administration to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Thorough understanding and application of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of safety programs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Daily assignments of hourly production personnel to meet schedule commitments.
• Ensure quality, regulatory and ISO requirements are met; stop production if needed.
• Review department work for technical accuracy against shop orders and drawings.
• Lead safety and environmental compliance within the department; participate in safety initiatives.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and enforce company policies.
• Provide technical input on staffing, training, and budget considerations.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts including Lean 5S, Standard Work, and Kaizen events.
