Job summary

Sterling Engineering is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a large second-shift manufacturing team focused on fabricating and assembling custom electrical enclosures, cabinets, and E-Houses for data center and utility markets.

You will oversee 20+ assemblers, coordinate mechanical fabrication and basic electrical assembly, and drive safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leading a manufacturing or fabrication team.
• Experience supervising 20+ employees is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes and sheet metal.
• Hands-on with mechanical assembly tools and basic electrical tasks.
• Ability to read basic drawings and bills of materials.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities for fabrication and assembly teams to meet safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery goals.
• Supervise and direct 20+ production staff on the shop floor.
• Coordinate mechanical fabrication and assembly of electrical enclosures, cabinets, and related equipment.
• Oversee sheet metal work, doors, panels, hardware, and tool usage.
• Coordinate with electrical assembly for basic panel wiring and component installation.
• Assign workers to stations based on priorities and skills; monitor performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and workflow; troubleshoot issues with cross-functional teams.
