Job summary

Sterling Engineering in Dallas seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a large second-shift manufacturing team responsible for fabrication and assembly of custom electrical enclosures, cabinets, and E-Houses. The role focuses on safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery while coaching a 20+ on-floor staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in production, fabrication, manufacturing, or assembly.
• Experience supervising 20+ production employees.
• Experience with metal fabrication and processes (laser cutting, bending, welding).
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to read and understand basic mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities for assigned fabrication and assembly teams to meet safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery goals.
• Supervise and provide direction to large teams of 20+ production employees.
• Coordinate mechanical fabrication and assembly activities for custom electrical enclosures, cabinets, E-Houses, and related equipment.
• Oversee mechanical assembly involving sheet metal, doors, panels, cabinets, hardware, fasteners, hand tools, and power tools.
• Coordinate with electrical assembly teams performing basic panel wiring, component installation, and electrical assembly.
• Assign employees to workstations and projects based on production priorities, skills, and workload.
