Job summary

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates production in the absence of the Production Manager.
• Provides on-the-job guidance and training to foremen.
• Enforces safety policies with foremen and production employees.
• Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control.
• Reviews production and QC reports to identify nonconformities and problems.
• Develops and implements methods to improve production quality and efficiency.
• Revises production schedules due to equipment failure or problems.
• Consults with engineering about machine modifications to improve production.
