Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Production Superintendent - 1st Shift in Lewiston Woodville, NC to provide operational leadership across multiple production lines, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity while developing supervisors.

You will mentor and coach staff, drive continuous improvement, and sustain a culture of teamwork and respect. The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, problem solving, and compliance with HACCP, GMPs, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent; 3-5 years in manufacturing with 2-4 years in supervision or leadership.
• Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree candidates require 1-3 years manufacturing experience and 2-4 years supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Lean manufacturing, root cause analysis and ERP systems knowledge.
• Familiarity with ISO, OSHA and quality control processes.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, lead and support Production Supervisors in achieving daily and weekly production targets.
• Support workforce planning, training, and succession development to build leadership pipeline.
• Mentor and coach team members to enhance skills and performance; manage performance and learning & development.
• Foster an inclusive, engaged culture aligned with company values; drive associate engagement and retention.
• Serve as acting Plant Manager when needed and contribute to strategic planning sessions.
• Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with safety, food safety regulations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives; drive lean manufacturing to reduce waste and costs.
