Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) seeks a Production Control Supervisor to develop, maintain, and execute production schedules aligned with customer requirements and company objectives.

The role coordinates with Production, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure on-time performance, while collaborating with Operations to ensure plans are achievable on the floor and within capacity. Relocation is authorized.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in business/operations related field preferred.
• Experience in production scheduling, work order management, and inventory control in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages production schedules to meet customer demand, inventory goals, and delivery timelines.
• Works with Operations leadership to ensure schedules are realistic and achievable.
• Audits daily production plans and resolves scheduling conflicts to meet delivery commitments.
• Coordinates with Operations to monitor progress and adjust plans to complete production orders on time.
• Oversees materials planning and purchasing to ensure availability of materials for production.
• Directs Materials Planners and Buyers to balance material requirements and inventory levels.
• Negotiates with suppliers for favorable terms and reliable delivery performance.
• Monitors supplier performance and resolves shortages, quality issues, or delays.
• Collaborates with Supply Chain and Operations to improve material flow and reduce costs.
• Supervises Shipping and Receiving to ensure accurate inbound/outbound processing.
• Oversees inventory control and accurate records of goods.
