Lyrba USA, a sustainable and socially responsible plastics processing company, operates a state-of-the-art food-grade PET sheet production site utilizing 100% post-consumer material as its feed source.

Position Summary

Lead Production Operator for a PET sheet line (Recycled PET) responsible for performing work assigned in our manufacturing area according to scheduled production requirements. Must operate production equipment safely, efficiently, and with quality focus to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals. As a Lead, you will oversee all team members on your shift, ensuring duties are performed safely and correctly according to procedures.

Role and Responsibilities

• Supervise Production Operators and Material Handlers on your team.
• Operate the PET sheet line, including raw material handling, mixing, blending, extruder operation, sheet production, and roll station operations.
• Operate powered forklifts and lifts.
• Ensure safe and efficient equipment operation.
• Maintain quality of finished goods.
• Train new operators.
• Communicate effectively with Supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Experience in extrusion, particularly with plastic sheet, is strongly preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience in production.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Experience with computer systems and Windows operating systems.

• Ability to analyze information effectively.
• Use logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions and approaches.
