Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is partnering with Muskegon-based manufacturers to identify a seasoned Production Manager. This role leads daily operations, develops production plans, and drives continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency across teams in West Michigan.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in manufacturing with leadership experience, Lean/Six Sigma expertise, and strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years manufacturing operations experience, with at least 2 years in leadership.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory control systems (MRP/ERP).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop production teams with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules.
• Develop and implement production plans, including staffing, material requirements, and resource allocation.
• Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions to meet established standards.
• Manage and mentor production staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality management systems.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as supply chain, engineering, and quality, to optimize production flow.
