Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America in De Soto, Kansas, is seeking a Production Manager to lead multiple high‑volume production lines in a 24/7 setting. You will drive safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity targets while implementing Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role supervises Production Supervisors, partners with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, and delivers measurable business results in a fast‑paced battery manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership in a high-volume, 24/7 environment.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, 6S, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle, FactoryTalk).
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing performance across assigned production lines to meet safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity targets.
• Lead and develop Production Supervisors for effective daily execution of plans.
• Ensure capacity planning, labor optimization, and resource allocation align with demand.
• Drive standardized work, procedures, and operational controls.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and EHS for alignment.
• Monitor SQDCP metrics and deploy countermeasures; champion cost reduction.
