Job summary

Victaulic, the global leader in mechanical pipe joining solutions, seeks a Production Engineer to lead projects from concept through completion, including equipment acquisitions, facility expansions, and process improvements. This hands-on role emphasizes LEAN principles, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven problem-solving.

You will plan and manage projects, develop layouts, manage vendors, and implement new equipment into current manufacturing. Travel up to 40% may be required.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3-5 years engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or other solid modeling software is required.
• Demonstrated ability in process improvement, metric development, and problem-solving is required.
• Familiarity with steel fabrication processes (Welding, CNC milling, facing, etc.) is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic engineering principles and strong mathematical ability is preferred. Proficiency with Windows and Office is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Develop and maintain facility layouts and engineering documentation.
• Manage external vendors & contractors with project budgets and schedules.
• Lead and self-manage the implementation of new equipment/technology into manufacturing processes.
• Apply LEAN principles to optimize equipment, procedures, and budgets.
• Provide technical support during new equipment installation, commissioning, and testing phases.
• Coordinate with Facility Manager to maintain quality of work processes and training.
