Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Production Engineer or similar hands‑on role.
• Led the design and delivery of a significant system or cross‑team initiative.
• Strong hands‑on programming skills in Python, Rust, or C#.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Grafana stack (Prometheus, Loki, Alertmanager), and ITRS Geneos.
• Robust knowledge of reliability practices (SLIs, SLOs, SLAs) and incident management.
• Experience with SQL Server; NoSQL familiarity is a plus.
• Hands‑on production systems across cloud and modern infra patterns.
• Ability to learn trading workflows and communicate with both technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own operational outcomes for critical applications supporting trade, P&L, accounting, and related workflows.
• Lead the response to complex production incidents across apps, databases, infra, and integrations.
• Define and manage service reliability with SLIs/SLOs/SLAs and incident analysis.
• Support critical integrations and connectivity (vendor feeds, APIs, messaging, FIX).
• Ensure safe operation of daily processes including EOD P&L, reconciliations, and data loads.
• Support follow‑the‑sun model with effective handovers and change leadership.
• Turn production insights into engineering solutions for resilience and operability.
• Develop observability, automation, and operational capabilities across cloud/on‑prem.
• Deliver real‑time services across cloud and containerised environments.
