Job summary

Balyasny Asset Management L.P. is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the platforms that power our engineering, research, and trading teams in New York.

You will own end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, automation, and on-call reliability across cloud and on-prem environments, using Python/Go, Kubernetes, Terraform, and observability tooling. Strong experience with distributed systems, AWS, and incident response will help ensure scalable, fault-tolerant systems for the firm's

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on SRE, DevOps or Platform Engineering in distributed systems.
• Strong software engineering skills with Python or GoLang.
• Deep expertise with CI/CD platforms and automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy).

Responsibilities

• Design and automate deployment pipelines and operational processes for efficiency and reliability.
• Champion SRE/DevOps best practices—observability, CI/CD, and IaC across cloud and on‑premises.
• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines; manage on‑call duties, Kubernetes, and training.
• Collaborate with teams to improve service stability, scalability and fault tolerance.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response to ensure production reliability.
