Job summary

Fieldguide is a San Francisco-based startup delivering AI-driven tax advisory and compliance software for large CPA firms and corporate tax departments. We are seeking a Lead/Principal Product Manager for Tax Agents to design, ship, and iterate intelligent agents across the tax lifecycle, from data gathering to review.

You will partner with engineers and strategic customers, own the roadmap, and drive cross-functional adoption.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience with deep emphasis on AI/agents.
• 3+ years of tax experience — as a tax practitioner and/or building tax products for the CPA or corporate tax market.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
• Comfortable with ambiguity which comes with launching new products.
• Degree in a technical, accounting, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise-grade AI agents that increase efficiency, quality, and practitioner experience across the tax lifecycle.
• Shape the product roadmap with engineering and design to quickly define, ship, and deliver impact with new features.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and drive adoption of new features.
• Work with customers and tax practitioners to design scalable tax solutions and product strategy.
