Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of full-time engineering experience.
• Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS CAD for mechanical design.
• Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing-ready 2D drawings.
• Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and their practical application.
• Experience leading design reviews and engineering change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of new products and sustaining engineering activities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and service teams to resolve complex issues.
• Evaluate obsolescence and lead redesigns to maintain availability and compliance.
• Develop prototype fabrication and experimental design aligned with product goals.
• Create and refine test/validation protocols for new concepts and improvements.
• Perform tolerance analyses to ensure fit, function, and manufacturability.
• Apply DFM and DFA principles early to reduce cost and time to market.
• Lead formal design reviews and ensure regulatory and risk-based requirements are met.
• Mentor junior engineers and stay current with advanced engineering practices.
