Job summary

You will mentor designers and help elevate design quality while staying ahead of industry trends and advocating for user-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product design.
• Portfolio showing UX, interaction, and visual design across web and mobile.
• Experience applying AI in the design workflow with tools like Figma Make, Claude Code, Claude Desktop.
• Strong interaction design, IA, typography, and responsive design.
• Experience researching users and usability testing.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design for top-of-funnel customer experiences from discovery to implementation.
• Own complex design initiatives to improve acquisition, engagement, and conversion.
• Use AI tools across the design lifecycle to accelerate iteration and elevate quality.
• Define and execute a forward-looking product vision while elevating visual design.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Brand, Content, and SEO to define strategy.
• Translate insights and data into design solutions that solve real customer problems.
• Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Work with researchers to conduct usability testing and analyze feedback.
• Design scalable experiences leveraging Rocket’s design system.
• Partner with engineers during implementation to ensure quality and accessibility.
• Facilitate critiques and workshops to improve design quality.
• Stay informed on design trends and best practices.
• Advocate for customer-centered design balancing needs and feasibility.
• Mentor designers with feedback and opportunities for growth.
