Pick 'n Save in Wisconsin seeks a Produce Department Manager to lead a busy produce area, drive excellent customer service, and oversee staffing, scheduling, pricing, and display standards. You will ensure proper training, policy adherence, and safe, efficient store operations.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a focus on yields, freshness, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Develop maximum customer relations by produce department personnel through friendliness and courtesy.
• Be alert to store security and assist where needed.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Make recommendations on hiring, firing, disciplining, transferring, and evaluating staff.
• Ensure proper indoctrination of all department employees and reading of scales/prices.
• Train staff on price marking and customer courtesy to boost productivity.
• Supervise salad bar operations and service quality.
• Plan efficient schedules for full/part-time staff and maximize efficiency.
• Maintain clean, uniformed department staff and proper identification.
• Maintain good communication with store personnel and report as needed.
• Direct receiving, storing, pricing and merchandising of all produce products.
• Maintain stock levels through proper ordering and inventory control.
• Submit required records/reports and utilize them effectively.
• Ensure clean and safe department areas, including cases, floors, and coolers.
• Maintain supplies like bags, pricing tools, and equipment.
• Analyze and adjust department operations to optimize space, display, pricing, rotation, and inventories.
• Promote company initiatives and improvements to direct reports in a positive manner.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional with associates and customers.
