Job summary

Pick 'n Save is seeking a Produce Department Manager to lead and mentor the produce team, ensure accurate pricing, and maintain exemplary customer service. The role covers staffing, training, merchandising, and daily operations for the department.

The candidate will oversee ordering, inventory, and display while coordinating with store leadership to optimize sales and store performance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a produce department or grocery team.
• Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to plan and direct scheduling for full- and part-time staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop maximum customer relations by produce dept. personnel through personal example of friendliness and courtesy.
• Be alert and assist in store security.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues.
• Provide training on price marking and department procedures.
• Supervise salad bar operations and department merchandising.
• Plan and direct schedules for staff for maximum efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with all store personnel.
• Direct the receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of all produce products.
