Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Produce Department Supervisor to lead daily operations at our New Berlin, WI location. You will oversee staffing, merchandising, pricing, and customer service to maximize sales and ensure department efficiency.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Prior produce or grocery experience is preferred, with a focus on integrity and team development.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights; weekends and holidays as needed.
• Understanding of department operations (managing people, merchandising, computer-assisted ordering, inventory management, shrink control, labor scheduling, expense control).
• Working knowledge of produce and preparation and general store operations.
• Excellent communication with employees, customers, and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop maximum customer relations by produce department personnel via friendliness and courtesy.
• Be alert and assist in store security and handle customer complaints.
• Make hiring/firing and performance decisions for department personnel.
• Oversee price marking training and correct display of prices.
• Supervise salad bar operations and staff scheduling for efficiency.
• Direct receiving, storing, pricing and merchandising of produce.
