Job summary

Danfoss Power Solutions in Ames, IA is seeking a Lead Process Technician/Process Technician for 1st shift to oversee assembly processes from setup to testing. This on-site role requires strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment in fast-paced production cells.

You will work closely with Process Engineers and Quality teams, implementing process improvements, and supporting manufacturing controls like Poka-Yokes.

Qualifications

• AA degree or technical school equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Experience with quality tools (PPAP, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, 8D).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment in the assembly process.
• Provide line support and escalate manufacturing issues related to safety and quality.
• Troubleshoot daily issues and reduce recurrence with training and visual aids.
• Assist in implementing process changes on the shop floor.
• Support design and implementation of manufacturing controls (Poka-Yokes).
