Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Process Mechanical Superintendent for our Arizona Division based in the Phoenix area. The candidate will oversee piping, equipment installation and coordination of site logistics on water/wastewater projects across the region.

Qualified applicants will have 5+ years in multi-functional water/wastewater installs, strong blueprint comprehension, and a proven ability to manage crews and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of experience installing piping and equipment on water/wastewater projects.
• Ability to navigate a computer and respond timely to e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Review and comprehend blueprint drawings and specifications.
• Lay out mechanical piping and equipment such as clarifiers, filters, chemical rooms, and pumps.
• Coordinate scheduling of site logistics and manpower; supervise crews of 3–6.
• Develop and train foremen and superintendents for succession.
• Manage pay requests, monitor costs and job cost reports; ensure accuracy.
• Oversee safety for on-site personnel and subcontractors; enforce safety protocols.
• Review, approve and order materials and equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
