Job summary

Brindley Engineering is seeking a highly capable Chemical Engineer to lead process design for refinery and chemical facilities. You will evaluate existing units, develop PFDs/P&IDs, and prepare design documentation for multiple disciplines. Strong leadership and communication skills are required.

The role demands extensive field experience, the ability to work with licensed technologies, and a track record in mentoring teams. A PE license and BS in chemical engineering are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
• 10+ years of experience
• P.E. licensure
• Strong technical knowledge of refinery and chemical plant unit operations and/or licensed technologies
• Experience mentoring and leading teams
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead field and technical evaluations of existing process units
• Provide technical direction for refinery and chemical process units and licensed technologies
• Direct and perform calculations, develop PFDs and P&IDs, provide design documentation for downstream engineering disciplines, develop equipment specifications, compile scope of work packages for construction
• Lead client and contractor interface, attend meetings, and provide written reports
• Provide technical support for field execution, including outage/turnaround projects
• Assist in constructability planning, proposal, and estimate development
