Job summary

Dana Canada Corp. is seeking an experienced engineering leader to manage the daily activities of manufacturing engineers and drive continuous improvement across production lines in Indiana. The role focuses on optimizing processes, reducing waste, and ensuring product quality through lean and Six Sigma methods.

You will oversee engineering support for new product introductions, coordinate cross-functional teams, and develop training plans while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and drive improvements.
• Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily tasks, priorities, and performance of manufacturing engineers to support production operations.
• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality using lean/Six Sigma.
• Provide technical assistance to resolve process and equipment issues with minimal disruption.
• Oversee engineering support for new product introductions including process design and validation.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate process documentation and lead cross-functional teams to solve problems.
• Develop training plans for process engineers and support maintenance with technical repairs.
• Lead expansion of traceability and internal MES system; manage plant capital expenditures.
