Job summary

Tremco is seeking a Process Engineer II to drive safety, quality and productivity on the factory floor. You will lead major process equipment projects, mentor junior engineers, and work with shift supervisors to resolve safety issues while applying lean practices.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in an engineering discipline, 2–4 years of process engineering and project management experience, and knowledge of statistics and problem solving. ABET accreditation and Six Sigma Black Belt are preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Experience in both practical Process Engineering and Project Management.
• Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility activities in partnership with shift supervisors to address safety issues.
• Execute scheduled PHAs and JSAs.
• Monitor areas and remediate potential safety issues.
• Develop and execute standard work activities.
• Improve productivity by eliminating non-value-added activities using engineering principles.
• Maximize equipment efficiency and quality for output.
• Identify root causes and prevent customer complaints as a member of the QIC.
• Train operators focusing on quality specs and process parameters.
• Lead major process equipment projects (> $750k) on time and budget.
• Supervise others on projects and mentor less experienced engineers.
