Job summary

dsm-firmenich in Princeton, NJ is seeking a Process Engineer to lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring safety, timely delivery, and quality. You will work with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The role reports to the production floor as a technical authority, contributing to a broad rewards package including base salary, annual bonus, health benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) with company matching up to 6%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with a minimum of five years in project engineering/manufacturing.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in project engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated project management expertise, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and execution of complex projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and project management tools/software; experience with project management systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational requirements.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals, provide technical guidance, and resolve project-related challenges.
• Monitor project progress and communicate status, risks, and key milestones to stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Serve as a visible authority on the production floor and across the plant, acting as an auditor, coach, and enforcer of plant policies, procedures, and continuous improvement practices.
