Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Principal Process Engineer for the CardioVascular Surgery OU to optimize dip molding processes and polymer material science for medical-grade catheters. The role leads end-to-end development, tooling design, and scale-up of dip molding lines, with onsite collaboration 4 days a week and limited travel.

Responsibilities include sustaining engineering, process modifications for quality and yields, and coordinating with design teams to ensure compatibility and regulatory

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience.
Master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or PhD with 3+ years may qualify.
U.S. work authorization sponsorship is offered for Principal-level roles and above.

Responsibilities

Provide technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.
Lead the development and optimization of dip molding processes for catheters.
Collaborate with product design to ensure process compatibility and drive cost/timing decisions.
Develop processes suitable for statistical process control and device transfer to manufacturing.
