Ecolab is seeking an experienced Principal Process Engineer for its Clearing, IL manufacturing site. You will lead process engineering and collaborate with production management across Colloidal and Latex operations, aiming for safety, quality, and productivity improvements.

The role requires a strong SME in colloidal silica processes, capable of mentoring operations personnel and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a world-class manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering field.
• 7 years of experience in chemical manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a PSM facility.
• No immigration sponsorship is available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering efforts and guide operations with Colloidal and Latex manufacturing expertise.
• Serve as SME in Colloidal silica processes to support safety, quality, and productivity.
• Develop autonomous, capable operations teams through knowledge transfer.
• Support and strengthen the facility's PSM safety culture.
• Lead continuous improvement and capital projects for safety and product quality.
• Act as plant contact for new product introductions and scale-up.
• Support robust SPC capabilities and integration with control systems.
• Document SOPs and procedural standards.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering functions to apply best practices.
