Job summary

Arkema Inc. seeks a Process Engineer for the Clear Lake Plant and Bayport 2EHA Unit to optimize operations, improve yields, and advance safety and environmental performance. The role reports to the Technical Manager and collaborates with plant management and staff.

You will lead improvement projects, support turnarounds, apply Six Sigma methods, and develop capital plans. A BS in Chemical Engineering with a Six Sigma Green Belt and 2–3 years' experience is expected; travel willingness is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering required.
• Green Belt certification; strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and data analysis.
• Ability to lead small projects and work with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance and optimize site environmental performance.
• Lead safety reviews, incident investigations, and coach operators on SWPs.
• Maximize operational efficiency and product quality; drive OAU goals and reliability programs.
• Assist with plant turnarounds, process technology projects, and debottlenecking efforts.
• Develop and implement capital project portfolio planning and MI-related activities.
